SafeBase does not publish a price. Since Drata bought the company in 2025, safebase.io/pricing redirects to Drata's plans page, which lists three Trust Center tiers (Foundation, Advanced and Enterprise) and no dollar figures. The last recorded purchase data on Vendr put the median SafeBase contract at $14,416 a year across 80 purchases, with deals from about $5,000 to $30,000. Those are reported figures, not a quote, so confirm yours with Drata.
That makes SafeBase a mid-priced line item next to a SOC 2 platform, not an enterprise GRC purchase. The harder part is predicting where in that $5,000 to $30,000 band your quote lands, because the price follows a few levers the plans page names but does not price: how many companies you approve, how many questionnaires the AI answers, and which CRM and NDA integrations you need. Here is what is public, what buyers report, and how to price it.
How much does SafeBase cost?
SafeBase costs a median of about $14,400 a year, based on 80 recorded purchases on Vendr's SafeBase page as archived in September 2025. Reported contracts ran from $5,000 at the low end to $30,000 at the high end, and Vendr reported buyers saving about 15 percent against the first quote. Vendr's SafeBase page no longer loads as of October 2026, so no newer public dataset exists.
For planning, a US SaaS company with one product, a SOC 2 report and a sales team fielding a few questionnaires a week should budget near the median. A team that wants Salesforce integration, a DocuSign or Ironclad NDA flow and several hundred approved customer domains should plan toward the top of the range. The reported low is a single trust center page with basic NDA gating and little else.
SafeBase pricing plans after the Drata acquisition
Drata agreed to acquire SafeBase in February 2025, in a deal TechCrunch reported at $250 million. The product now sells as the Drata Trust Center. We read Drata's plans page in October 2026, and it splits the Trust Center into three tiers, each with a "Get Started" button and no price.
| Tier | Approved domains | AI questionnaire answering | Integrations and controls | Published price |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Foundation | Up to 100 | Up to 100 questionnaires, upload in app, Chrome extension, Slack | Branded trust center, knowledge base, clickwrap NDA, SAML SSO, Slack and Teams, document sync from Drata only | Quote only |
| Advanced | Up to 300 | Adds internal product portals | Access expiration dates, DocuSign and Ironclad NDAs, SCIM, one API and one webhook, standard Salesforce and HubSpot, Google Drive sync | Quote only |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Adds upload from Salesforce and by API, status webhooks, questionnaire revenue metrics | Enterprise dashboards, unlimited API and webhooks, Pro Salesforce and HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, data warehouse sync, Microsoft Purview | Quote only |
Two details on that page matter for the quote. The table notes that the first 25 approved domains are free, and every tier lists extra approved domains and extra questionnaires as paid add-ons. In practice, the number of customer companies you let into the trust center and the number of questionnaires you push through the AI are the two meters that move a SafeBase bill.
Vendr's older data shows the same story from the buyer side. It recorded six SafeBase products: Starter, Growth, Enterprise, All Access, Custom Platform and a Legacy Enterprise Platform. If you bought before the acquisition, your renewal may arrive on a legacy SKU, and it is worth asking which current tier it maps to before you sign.
Is SafeBase sold standalone or only with Drata?
Both, according to what is public. At the acquisition, TechCrunch reported that SafeBase would keep a standalone product while its core features moved into the Drata platform. Drata's plans page lists the Trust Center as its own tiered track next to Compliance and Third-Party Risk Management, but it does not say whether you can buy one without the other. If you run Vanta, Secureframe or another compliance platform, ask Drata directly whether the Trust Center is available on its own and whether document sync works from your system, because Foundation lists document sync from Drata only.
What drives a SafeBase quote
- Approved domains. Each customer company you grant access counts. Foundation stops at 100 and Advanced at 300, so a company with a long enterprise customer list either buys domains as an add-on or moves up a tier.
- Questionnaire volume. Foundation includes up to 100 AI-assisted questionnaires. A sales team answering three a week passes that in about eight months.
- CRM integration. Salesforce and HubSpot appear from Advanced up, and the Pro versions only on Enterprise. If your security team wants trust center activity inside the opportunity record, budget for Advanced at minimum.
- NDA workflow. Clickwrap NDAs are on Foundation. Routing NDAs through DocuSign or Ironclad needs Advanced.
- Bundling. Buying the Trust Center alongside Drata's compliance platform is the obvious place to negotiate. See our Drata pricing breakdown for what the compliance side costs.
SafeBase pricing vs other trust center and questionnaire tools
Most buyers pricing SafeBase are choosing between a trust center, a questionnaire answering tool, or a compliance platform that bundles some of both. The prices below are the ones each vendor publishes or that recorded purchase data shows, and none of them is a quote.
| Product | Reported or listed price | What you mainly buy | Our breakdown |
|---|---|---|---|
| SafeBase (Drata Trust Center) | Median about $14,400 a year, reported $5,000 to $30,000 | A gated trust center plus AI questionnaire answering | This page |
| Whistic | $23,000 a year for Trust Center Professional AI on AWS Marketplace; Vendr median $22,500 | Trust profile plus vendor assessment | Whistic pricing |
| Vanta | From $14,000 a year on AWS Marketplace (1 to 20 employees); Vendr median $20,000 | Compliance automation with a Trust Center included | Vanta pricing |
| Scrutineer Growth | $7,200 a year, listed | Framework readiness plus security questionnaire automation, no per-questionnaire fees | Pricing page |

Is SafeBase worth the price?
For a company whose deals stall in security review, often yes. A trust center that lets a prospect download your SOC 2 report after a clickwrap NDA, without a ticket to your security team, removes days from each deal, and the median price is a fraction of one enterprise contract. Sales teams get the most out of it when the link is everywhere buyers look: on the security page, in the proposal template and in every rep's email footer, which a company-wide email signature tool can push to the whole team in one change.
It is a weaker buy if you do not yet have the reports to publish. A trust center with no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report on it gives a buyer little to download, and the questionnaires keep coming. In that case, the money goes further on getting audit ready first.
SafeBase pricing vs Scrutineer pricing
| Question | SafeBase (Drata Trust Center) | Scrutineer |
|---|---|---|
| Are prices public? | No, quote only | Yes, every plan is on the pricing page |
| Reported or listed annual cost | Median about $14,400, reported $5,000 to $30,000 | Essentials $3,588, Growth $7,200, Risk+ $15,000, Enterprise $28,800, billed annually |
| Public, gated trust center page with NDA flow | The core product | Not offered |
| AI answers to incoming security questionnaires | Included, up to 100 on Foundation, add-ons beyond | Included on Growth and above, no per-questionnaire fees |
| SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, GDPR and PCI DSS readiness | Through Drata's compliance plans, priced separately | Mapped out of the box, all five on Growth |
| Vendor questionnaires sent and scored | Through Drata's TPRM offering | Included on Risk+ |
The honest summary: if you want a polished public trust center with NDA gating and CRM tracking, SafeBase is built for that and Scrutineer does not offer one. If your real problem is getting audit ready and answering the questionnaires that land before you have a report, our security questionnaire automation sits on Growth with readiness for five frameworks, at about half the reported SafeBase median.
How to get an accurate SafeBase quote
- Count the customer companies that will need access in year one, then add the pipeline you expect. Domains are the first meter.
- Estimate questionnaires per month from the last quarter of deals. Foundation's 100 a year is the second meter.
- Decide whether you need Salesforce or HubSpot, and whether NDAs must route through DocuSign or Ironclad. Either one puts you on Advanced.
- If you are on a legacy SafeBase SKU, ask which current tier it maps to and get the renewal price for both.
- Ask whether the Trust Center can be bought without Drata's compliance platform, and price both ways.
- Put a renewal cap and the add-on price per domain and per questionnaire in the order form.
